Is it beter to get divorced before leaving for the military? or does it matter?

do not answer if you do not know. please no assumptions or rediculous answers.
if you do..get a life. LOL
were all ready getting divorced but will I get more rights with my daughter or will she get more out of me, money wise?
my attorney says that I cannot be served divorce papers so easily. thus my daughter keeping the health benifits
