| Religion and divorce? If you are religious and you wish to divorce due to 'irreconcilable differences' or unfaithfulness, does your church offer you counselling, and disapprove of your decision? Are you punished in anyway? Because marriage is a contract and you promise God that you will be together til 'death do you part'? So, what happens when you break your promise to God? Please correct me if this is not true. OK so for unfaithfulness yes, but what about just because you don't love each other anymore? Surely a religious couple has divorced before for this reason. What happens when you break a promise to God? |
