Do looks matter (for partner in marriage)?

Well I am looking forward to being committed. I come from a background with strong values so marriage is the only option. In that you have to look for so many things such as compatibility in values and morals, career, personality.

And especially religion, where it is very hard to find people from my background.

I can't seem to make up my mind on whether looks should matter too much? I have well above average looks. I know looks change with age and altho it seems immature I keep wanting good looks in a partner.

What do you think?
