Saving myself for marriage?

im 24 and a virgin.

And im embarrassed to admit it to my friends but yet im proud of myself for waiting.

Is saving yourself for marriage a thing of the past? or is it still common?

That's good, don't be embarassed of it. I always said that I would save myself too, but I fell in love & did it anyway. I don't regret it though.

I don't really think it's a thing of the past.. but it's not common either. People are having sex at younger ages all the time these days.

Because it is not common be proud. You have enough sense and personal pride to not follow the crowd...follow your heart. Anyone can be a "piece", not everyone can be a "prize".

VERY BAD IDEA! If the sex is bad, your marriage will be, too. This is very old fashioned and unnecessary. I feel bad for you.
