Does marriage counseling work?

My wife and I have not had a good sex life for quite some time now (once a month). I have tried to talk to her about it for months and she swears that she just does not have the urge anymore. To me, this is a very important part of our relationship. Well, last week she told me that she was not sure if she was "In Love" with me anymore and felt that this might be the cause. I have done everything in my power and feel like I am losing her. I am willing to do what ever it takes to save our marriage. She has agreed to go to marriage counseling. I am looking for some hope that this will help. I am 35 years old and we have ben married for 10 years. Just looking for a little foresight on what to expect with the counseling thing.
