Does anyone know how to go about finding a person in order to file for a divorce?

My boyfriend has been separated from his wife for over 2 years now. He has had no contact with here at all in over a year. They share a 4 year old son also. The last contact he had, she wanted to get back together and when he told her no, she has seemed to disappear. He can't even file for a divorce, without having an address, let alone see his son. We don't have a credit or debit card to try and find her that way online. We are just stuck and wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem and if so, what did you do about it...Thanks guys!
