Question for Divorced/Separated People on Special Child Expenses -...

...Reconciliation Method? Hi All,

I'm separated with a daughter and have recently signed a separation agreement with my former wife. My daughter lives with her and I see her 3 times a week. Special child expenses are split 50% 50% by the parents.

I wanted to ask the more experienced people participating in this forum, how do you recommend we reconcile the difference:

1. Meet and reconcile the difference every time there is a special expense
2. Meet and reconcile every month for all expenses incurred during the previous month
3. Meet and reconcile every 3 months for all expenses incurred during the previous 3 months
4. Meet and reconcile every year considering all expenses incurred in the previous year
5. Other?

What method do you use with your former wife/husband? Does it work well? what method do you think would be most efficient?

THANKS,
Neil
