Divorce, judicial system, and conflicts of interest?

If the judicial system where you live is conflicting with you trying to get a divorce...example...

You and your wife are going through a divorce...your wife and her lawyer know every judge in town and makes it hard for you to file a motion with the courts to finalize your divorce so that your able to move on with your life...this is when you have finally given up and offered everything she wants and she still wont sign...

Is this considered a conflict of interest and are you able to file a motion in a different county in your state in order to finalize your divorce?

Hell yeah it's a conflict of interest. File a complaint with the bar on her lawyer. Google it and you'll find the appropriate paperwork. Get yourself a lawyer and don't give that woman anything (well anything you don't want to that is). Don't let them get away with this. It's ridiculous!!! I feel for you.

A friend of mine is going through something similar. He got taken to the cleaners with child support in his divorce judgment (due to a very biased magistrate), and now he's filing to amend that decree. So he was advised to write a letter of Request for Change of Venue. You do have to notify the other party of your intentions to do so..
Not sure what comes next but please do consult with an attorney to see if you can do something like this in your state due to the conflicts of interest that clearly exist.
I wish you luck in this endeavor. We live in a very rural one-horse town where everyone knows everybody too..so I feel your pain..
