Can the Adulteress file for an Adultery Divorce?

Hi,

In Maryland, you must wait a year to file divorce after you have separated, unless someone committed adultery. The question is, can the person who committed the adultery file for divorce on those grounds, thereby bypassing the year long wait?
P.S. The spouse does not qualify for alimony and there are no children. So, filing under adultery would have no negative effect. It would simply be a way to speed up the divorce process (if it can be done).
Someone wrote: "A no-fault divorce is way faster in Maryland." However, you have a wait a year after separating to file a no-fault divorce whereas you can file for an absolute divorce based on adultery at any time (no waiting period).
Also, in this case, both parties want the divorce and they agree to not go to court. However, the one who committed the adultery would like to divorce faster than the one who didn't.
