Need some serious help with divorce when carrying high risk pregnancy...?

I've been married for 3 years and during that time we had 2 babies that didn't make it do to very complicated pregnancy circumstances. In the 1st week of January my husband left me. 3 weeks later i found out i was pregnant with his child. He now lives with his sister rent free and just bought a really expensive nice car...Because of the previous pregnancies this pregnancy is automatically high risk and I wont be able to work past 16 weeks of being pregnant. I'm 10 weeks now and I need help on how to get some help financially from him. He says he doesn't have money that he can help me out with but I need his help!!!! How do I go about finding legal aid that is really really cheap. Because I'm broke. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get help financially??

I am not sure there is much you can do legally, You can apply to a legal aid facility talk to you local states attorney maybe they can steer you in the right direction. and if he is working you can probably garnish his wages, if he is working. You need to apply for medicaid and get help from the state in which you live to help you with your medical bills and money to live on. Take care of yourself and this precious gift from God. This baby and your health is your number one priority. Most states i think when you apply for medicad they ask for the father and they try to go afte rsupport. First of all, I am sorry you married such a loser. Miscarriages and illness are often a cause of men leaving marriages. Perhaps he is trying to run away from the past.

Is it wrong and unmanly? Yes. But I think you should confront him. Tell him that he is still your husband, and he needs to try and be a father to his unborn child. And that means supporting you and keeping you healthy.

Start with asking him directly for support during this difficult time.If all else fails, you may qualify for benefits though your job or the government. Calling a local social services office may help you.
