...marriage is a sin? I know I'm probably going to get a rise out of people with this question. Yes, I am a christian. Yes, I have a relationship with God. I just want to know if/where it says it in there. There are things we believe in... the rapture and purgatory for example that are no where in the bible. I just want to know if this is one of them. (Only because I'm considering not getting married again and having a partner instead... Divorce is too messy.)

What passages?
I don't take marriage lightly. I understand how serious of a commitment that is... hence, why I'm considering not doing it. Almost every married person I know has become bitter and negative. I don't want kids either... so maybe marriage isn't for me?
Just to clarify... I waited 22 years until I was married. Been down that road, so I do have a right to ask = )
I don't want to sleep around. I have to really truly love someone in order to give my heart to them in that way. I'm just curious. I mean, I like the idea of getting married again, but at the same time with the horrible divorce rate... It just seems like marriage ruins things sometimes. Although, my great-grandparents are 80 and the most happy and in love people I've ever seen! If I could be like them, I'd get married.
I am aware of the divorce thing. I don't know if he ever cheated on me... he was always out of town. But I do know he tried to cheat on me while we were engaged. The girl came and told me while I was getting a divorce.
