I was asked to try to find the 6th District Traveling Gavel. I know that Hampton Lodge #70 has the Jonesboro traveling gavel. The Traveling Hat and the Rex Lodge Traveling Gavel is at Griffin Lodge #413. Now where Eastpoint Traveling Gavel at??? Now that was said, if there is any Traveling Gavel in your District. Please let me know and I will try to keep you up to date where it is at. Maybe this will help to promote more traveling in your District. Darrell Flanigan
5th District= Clarkston took their Traveling Gavel back last week. They have a page about it at listing present location and where it's been.= Carroll Lodge No. 69 has reclaimed it's Traveling Gavel from the Brothers of Sand Hill No. 350.We will proudly display it in the East at our next regular meeting - which is this coming Tuesday, November 7, 2006.
The 7th District Traveling Gavel has been claimed. RW Brother Frank Vexler, DDGM from the 5th District, retrieved the gavel from Mt. Zion #316 and is restarting the rotation."

December 1, 2006= St. Johns Lodge #45= The members of St. Johns Lodge #45 of Jackson would like to extend an open invitation to all lodges for an evening of fun on December 1st. Our Lodge will have a float in the annual Jackson/Butts county Christmas Parade and would love to have representation from as many lodges as possible. We will have a 20' flat bed trailer, tastefully decorated for the event with enough room for several brothers to ride on the float. We are looking for brothers that will walk along with the parade to distribute candy and holiday wishes. We ask that all brothers wear their aprons, officers or not and while not required, a banner announcing your lodges presence would be great.
