| If your lodge is like mine: You'll go through your initiation and then listen to a series of questions and answers and lectures. Afterwards you may be given a booklet to read, containing some of the questions and answers you heard. You'll have at least a month to study it. You may be assigned someone to help you Before your Second Degree you'll be asked to show Proficiency: that means you'll be quizzed on the booklet and asked to repeat answers from it. You probably won't be expected to be word perfect but you must show you've made a good effort. If you pass you'll get your second degree, if not, you'll have another opportunity in the future. After your Second degree you'll have to show proficiency before the Third. |

| ok first there's a "ritual" where you will play the part of Hiram abiff the master builder. you will be escorted and told everything to do and say. then afterwards you will be assigned a teacher who will teach you a catechism. it is a question and answer session between the two of you on the events that occurred during your ritual. this will take some time to learn. don't get frustrated, just get with your teacher as often as possible. when you have learnt your catechism you will be invited back to recite what you have learned and you will be voted on at that time. Do not worry your teacher will not tell them you are ready unless you are ready. after you recite they will schedule you for your second degree Any furthur questions just email me .. happy to assist |

I suggest that you discuss your concerns with your lodge secretary. I wish you every possible success in your masonic journey. Relax, you are among friends and brothers. |
