| My first step would be to convert the mixed fraction: -17/6=y/3-2/3 then multiply all terms by 6 - this will bring the whole equation to integers: -17=2y-4 Add 4 to each side: -13=2y Finally divide by 2 y=-13/2 = -6 1/2 |
