Slam Dunk...the math version?? Is it correct?

So i heard that if you add your vertical jump and your reach together it will give how much farther you need to go untill you dunk.....I heard to dunk cleanly you need bout 127' to dunk cleany....(10 feet = 120')

EX:REACH+VERTICAL JUMP (90' + 30'=120')
So going by math i need 7 more inches

Does this sound true?? or do you think that this works?
