1. From a class of 12 students, 3 are chosen to form a school challenge team. The team is required to include at least one boy and at least one girl. If exactly 160 different teams can be formed from the 12 students, then which of the following can be the difference between the number of boys and the number of girls in the class?

2. Suppose that ten teams participated in a football tournament where each of the teams played exactly one game with each of the other teams. The winner of each game received 3 points, while the loser received 0 points. In case of a tie, both teams received 1 point.
