Would there be any job, if you get Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with only...

...2.3 cumulative GPA? i get my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics next month, but my cumulative GPA would be no more than that of C+ grade average (2.3). I tried very hard and put in lot of effort, but it was very tough major for me and all i could get was no more than 2.3 cumulative GPA.

But this last semester, i'm taking 15 credits and am getting all B+ or higher grades. The last semester is likely going to be the highest semester gpa for me (around 3.5 at least).

I tried looking at jobs with BS in math, but almost all of them said a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA is needed.

So this means, there will be no job for me after getting bachelor degree?

if you cannot find any job with bs in math with 2.3 gpa then tutoring or teaching is always there, as the demand for math teaching is huge and supply is scarce.

Ofcourse, you will be able to find job, because you do have a degree and basic knowledge of deep math. Your starting salary maybe low compared to those of higher GPA or you may have to work in federal or local government.

Its not GPA that counts, but the knowledge of field. By getting a degree you have demonstrated that you have sufficient knowledge and average skill of the field. If some organization needs that skill and they cannot find anyone to fill the skill slot, they will be forced to hire eventually. It all depends on how many other candidates with BS in math are available.

The good thing is that not too many major in math. The enrollment is very low. I get B.S. in math next month too and in one of my math classes which is most advanced for undergrad level (modern applied math) there are only 6 students in the class.

If there are only 5 to 6 students at average in most advanced math classes, then it shows there will be a job as long as the degree is there.

You will almost certainly be able to find a job - but not necessarily a math one. But a better one will be had if you get a Masters. The best school I know that will admit you with that type of GPA is Regis:

Thanks
