Help with math, I just don't understand, 4x^2 - 12 - 64 = 0?

4x^2 - 12x = 64 round the answer to the nearest hundredth.


Suppose a model rocket is launched from a platform 2 ft above the ground with an initial upward velocity of 100 ft/s. After how many seconds will the rocket hit the ground? Round the solution to the nearest hundredth.
a) 4.67 seconds
b) 6.27 seconds
c) 46.71 seconds
d) 62.71 seconds
