Math's Problem Solving Help ??

Hello Darlings, I need some help with my maths homework. I have done all off it but not the last question. I will have too write out the three questions to make you understand the problem.

1. The teacher wants to select a committee of two students out of Anne, Bang, Carla and Demi. Here the order is not relevant as a committee of Anne and Bang is the same as a committee of Bang and Anne. How many committees are possible?

2. How many different committees of two people can be selected from a group of ten people?

3. Can you generalize/create a rule this in some way?

I have found that there can be 6 committees possible for question eight, and then 45 committees of two people for question two.

Could you please answer my question showing how you found out the answer, and also tell me the rule for it. Help will be much appreciated and best answer will win points.
