p_giffney has a spectacular aura about
teaching maths?

does anyone have any good techniques, games, ideas, weblinks, source material online that would be good for teaching ks3/4 maths both in a class and separately as a private tutor - anything would be helpful - in the UK. thanks

Karen Diep has a spectacular aura about
You have to be very patient when teaching students with math since not many students like math.
Use lots of pictures in teaching math. (A picture tells million words)
Use joke, make students relax while learning math.
Give awards to students who had a good grade in tests.
Do not give them a lot of homework. Give as much homework as you think they would do well on the test. (too much homework make students lazy and does not want to do homework)
Give bad students more support, do not announce their bad grades in class . (no competition)
etc...
