| Probability Math Questions? Alright, so I am not very good at math and am struggling with a couple probability questions.
1) There is a bag of 30 marbles, each numbered from 1-30. What is the probability of picking any two marbles and them being #1 and #2.
2) (this one is similar to the first) Same bag of 30 marbles. This time pick 4 marbles, what is the probability of #1 and #2 being in the 4 chosen marbles?
3) (this was a bonus question so it seems much harder). Marbles 1-30 are placed on a grid of 6 by 5 randomly. What is the probability of #1 and #2 being directly beside, above or below each other?
It is alright if you can't answer #3 but I would really like to know 1 and/or 2 (because I think if I can figure 1 out; 2 should be easy). I would appreciate it if you showed your work but if not, it is fine and I will just back track and see if I get it that way... |
