| 1. first distribute (multiply the 2 with n AND five) 2(n+5)= -2 2n+10= -2 2. subtract 10 from both sides of the equation, so you only have the 2n on the left side. 2n+10 - 10= -2 -10 2n= -12 3. divide both sides by 2 to get the n by itself 2n/2= -12/2 n= -6 there's your answer! |
