| The new math... subjective? Apparently there is a new math among the schools and it is supposed to be subjective. This is simply absurd. Why would anyone suppose that math was subjective or that it would ever be a good thing is it was. If you were building a house or a bridge, wouldn't you want someone using a concrete, undeniable, proven, and correct way of deciding what the parameters and angles and figures were? Call me old school but if I was going to hire someone to build my house, I would not want some one making it up as they go by what they thought was a good because they decided it was. I would want some objectively correct and solid math used.. agree? What's happening to this country and its obsession with subjectivism?      |
