| Is Chinese Mathematics neglected or is it far less advanced than western mathematics?
I understand the question is a little wordy and it's hard to understand. But here's what I'm asking basically, first notice that, you may or you may not have heard that, the Chinese were one of the most mathematically advance civilization, it's been said that they've discovered a lot in mathematics, you also notice that, the Chinese are usually very decent in math class in schools ranging from elementary to college. However as you studied Math you will notice, almost non of the discoveries/theorem is credited to any of the Chinese mathematicians. There are many controversies on dates when theorems were discovered such as he Pythagorean etc.
I'm just curious at fact, why such a "commonly known" math advanced civilization is never credited to any work?
thanks for all your opinions and feel free
