Another Maths Statistics Question - please help?

r 0 1 2 3 4 5 6
P(R=r) 1/16 1/4 0 3/8 1/4 0 1/16

I found E(R) = 11/4 and Var(R) = 37/16

Find the mean and variance of:

a) R1 - R2, where R1 and R2 are independant observations of R

any help would be great
