Math Question...how high is the clown?

A cannon's something or other is given by the formula
h(x)=-(1/8)x^2+bx+5 where h is the height of the clown from the ground, x is the horizontal distance, and b is the (i cant remember). For what value(s) of b does the clown reach a height of 55.

I just had this on a test, I got some bizarre answer.
