arsoner_gal has a spectacular aura about
Math help-surface area and volume?

Kamina bought a new fish tank that is 60 cm long, 40 cm wide, and 25 cm high.
1. Kamina decides to line the inside of the tank's four walls with glass tinting. How many square centimeters of tinting will Kamina need to buy?
2. Kamina decides to add a layer of sand (to a depth of 3 cm) on the bottom of the tank. How much sand should Kamina buy?
The first problem is surface area and the second is volume.

the first one, volume, is easy. I'm not gonna do it for you, because it's so easy! all you do is 60x40x25, and then whatever your answer is, put the units in centimetres squared! simple.

the second one, just requires you to do the same calculation, but with a different measurement for height - 60x40x3 (because this time you only want it to be three centimetres high, you don't want to fill up the whole tank) and again, put your answer in cm cubed.
