On November 26, 1963, the U.S. launched the satellite, Explorer 18. Its low point over the surface of the earth was 119 miles and its high point was 122,000 miles from the surface of the earth. The earth has an equatorial diameter of 7962.41 miles.
1. Draw a sketch of the elliptical orbit of the satellite. Label important parts of an elliptical orbit. (please just explain how you get the points to plot, we are learning about conic sections.) hint: earth is not the center
2. Find the equation that describes Explorer 18's orbit in standard and general quadratic form
