Does anyone know how to solve this math problem???

i am in trig/pre-calc and i'm stuck on a couple of problems on my hw...any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solve each equation for 0<or=x<2pi algebraically by using indentities..

#1. sin^(2) x + sinx-1=0

#2. 3cosxcotx + 7=5cscx
