John V has a spectacular aura about
(6+x)(8+x)=150, or x^2 +14x - 102 = 0. Use quadratic formula to solve for x: [-14 +/-sqrt(196 + 408) ]/2 ==> x = 5.3.
Both dimensions increased by 5.3m

Jun Agruda has a spectacular aura about
(x + 6)(x + 8) = 150
x = 5.3

Answer: Dimensions must be increased by 5.3 meters.

Proof:
= (5.3 + 6)(5.3 + 8)
= 11.3 * 13.3
= 150.29
