The cost of 36 items is $24.80. Write is the cost of an individual item to the nearest cent?

Gasoline is about $2 per gallon. You use about 1 1/2 gallons each day driving to and from work. How much should you budget for gasoline over the next month (about 20 workdays)?

Question 1:

24.80 divided by 36= 0.6888888 cents= about 0.70 cents

question 2:

1 1/2 x 2= $3 a day, then 3x20= $60 a month
