High school junior... how to make a journalism portfolio?

I feel that journalism is my passion... Since I dropped Spanish after sophomore year to take journalism. I also just love journalism. Besides that, I want to start making a portfolio for internships, etc. I was wondering if it's just a simple portfolio and I should cut out all the articles I've written for my school newspaper. Where do I get a portfolio binder? Is this what I'm supposed to do?
