Is it bad to take medicine after smoking marijuana?

Are there adverse effects to taking non-stimulant a.d.d. medicine and anti-depressant medicine used as sleeping medicine after smoking a bowl of marijuana?

First off...not so much bad then useless...already if you to take meds or are taking meds for insomnia, or depression or a.d.d your already taking medication for what medicinal marijuana us used for...either smoke weed or take the sleeping pill both will help you sleep...not a great idea to be smoking weed often and be on anti-depressants...it can cancel each other out and your just end up being more philosophical about being depressed! smoking after meds like will not kill you, it intensifies the effects even more. either way good luck and spark a bowl responsibly!

Marijuana can cause adverse reactions with any medication, because it's not a legal substance, and therefore hasn't been tested with medications.

It CAN react badly with your pills, depending on what you are on. Your best bet is to discuss it with your doctor- they can only help you if they know what you are doing.

On the other hand, marijuana can be an antidepressant all on it's own, and can help with your sleeping problem. I take Lunesta for sleeping, it's a wonderful drug.
