Car sickness medicine for dogs?

We have some close friends who live about 30 minutes away, so we don't get to spend as much time with them as we'd like. They want to come stay the night at our house, but they can't afford a dog-sitter or kennel, and their dog gets carsick, so they can't bring her here. Does anyone know of a medicine or remedy or treatment for carsickness in dogs?
