When will they prescrtibe the medicine ?

I'm going to a social worker on April 17 for social anxiety and depression. They are both really bad, so I am wondering how long it will take, ( how many visits) before they will give me medicine. I know there are other ways but medicines probably the way I will go. I will probably go there once a month. I want to get a job this summer but I am wondering If i would have the medication by June? That's three months away, and I will be going there once every month, that about 3 visits ... how long does it take to prescribe the medicine for me to take ? help please

A social worker can't prescribe medication, but they should be able to refer you to someone who can. If a doctor agrees that you need it, they will usually give you a prescription immediately.
