My girlfriend has really bad cramps and no medicine seems to work. Help?

My girlfriend has really bad cramps and no medicine seems to work. Help?

She's been taking ibuprofen every 4 hours and it's not helping.
She claims that midol doesn't work either.

Is there anything that we don't know of that will help?
I hate feeling helpless while she holds to her stomach and weeps.
