Can i practice medicine if im positive for Herpes Simplex?

Ive had it all my life, will it be a hindrance when i practice medicine? Will they even make me proceed if i tell them i have herpes simplex? Will i be a health scare?

I would "presume" since you'd be sterilizing your hands and clothes and wearing gloves that there would not be any problem for you to do operations, but general practicing might be a problem so you'd best check with your Board of Medicine. You could of course change to doing speaking engagements and writing books and doing documentaries if you so choose.

That shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep it under control. Most people have Herpes Simplex type 1. A cold sore is herpes simplex.
