You can look up meds on www.safefetus.com or in a hales drug book. both are very good and tell you risks and how safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding

When I was 5 weeks, I had strep throat and took tylenol and an antiobotic and everything was fine. I'm 7.5 weeks now and had my first ultrasound today. Everything looks great with a strong heart beat! So go ahead and take some tylenol and if you're worried about taking medicine, call your ob/gyn or GP doctor. They will advice you on what and what not to take. Good luck and get better soon, oh yeah, congradulations!!!!

According to the doc, the only meds you can take during pregnancy is Tylenol and Dramamine (sp?). When I was 5 weeks pregnant I came down with the WORST cold ever and my temp just got over 102. The pharmacist told me to stay away from medication. I decided to take Nyquil because it got BAD, but only ONE pill and every 12 hours until the temp dropped and then I quit and just stuck with drinking a lot of water, eating well, and resting.

Good luck to you and hope you feel better soon!!
