my skin is pink because a medicine i accidently overused removed too

much epidermis skin,? story:
i used a medicine and forgot to rinse it off because i fell asleep, the medicine removes dry skin but since i fell sleep w/ it on and had it on too long, it also removed some epidermis skin.

problem:
the medicine removed some epidermis skin. the skin under it is going to be naturally pink for a little while(since it is fresh skin that was covered entire time)

question 1:how long till it goes back to normal?-
how long till the fresh new skin that is pink, will become normal top layer skin-loose the pinkish look and become white/tan and not sunburn easily like the rest of the top layer epidermis skin?

question 2:what can i put on/take to make/help cure this?-
what creams/lotions/pillsremedies... should i take to cure this problem.

do u have any other advise?, please tell me!
