| My Husband is suffering from UTI. The prescribed medicine is not working, what else should we do? It has been a week since we found that there there is blood in his Urine, we came to see doctor but the medicines are not working. He is having hard time peeing. |

| try drinking cranberry juice. there is also cranberry pills(?) Something about it cleanses, or heals Also i would make sure it's not his prostate. my grandfather was peeing blood and had to have his entire prostate removed because it was cancerous. |

| Sometimes UTIs are resistant to certain antibiotics (especially sulfa!). If he's been taking an antibiotic for several days and hasn't noticed a difference, he should go back to the doctor. They can re-test the urine to verify that the infection is still there, and give a different antibiotic. Meanwhile, drinking lots of water or cranberry juice will help, though it's not as effective as antibiotics. And NOT drinking enough water will probably make it worse... |
