My Husband is suffering from UTI. The prescribed medicine is not working, what

else should we do? It has been a week since we found that there there is blood in his Urine, we came to see doctor but the medicines are not working. He is having hard time peeing.

try drinking cranberry juice. there is also cranberry pills(?)
Something about it cleanses, or heals

Also i would make sure it's not his prostate. my grandfather was peeing blood and had to have his entire prostate removed because it was cancerous.

take him back to a urologist! this cannot go on! was he at a specialist? if not take him in! these things are for specialists not us! good luck to him!

Sometimes UTIs are resistant to certain antibiotics (especially sulfa!). If he's been taking an antibiotic for several days and hasn't noticed a difference, he should go back to the doctor. They can re-test the urine to verify that the infection is still there, and give a different antibiotic.

Meanwhile, drinking lots of water or cranberry juice will help, though it's not as effective as antibiotics. And NOT drinking enough water will probably make it worse...
