best route to medicine?

well, i am in the UK.

did my a-levels with biology, chemistry, physics and maths. grades were B,C,D,B resp.

i know these wont let me into medical school directly. But i know i really deserve to be a medical student. i had lots of disturbances during my a-levels.

but i dont want to re-sit my a-levels.

is there any way i can get into medicine?

should i just apply to uni these grades? they look for aab and i have bbcd !

please help.thanks.

you could try it, for a start. you could also think about other routes into the medical world without being a doctor. there are fasinating careers such as radiologist, physiotherapist and 101 others that i dont know about personally, but which you would be well qualified to study for. some of these will involve getting a nursing degree but dont dismiss this from your mind. by all means apply for med school, in the meantime keep your eyes and mind open for other opportunities.

good luck

Those grades probably won't get you into any med schools in the UK. And you more than likely won't get anywhere in America. Try the caribbean. Their med schools are easy to get into.

However, apply whereever you want. Give it a shot and show them why you need to be a surgeon and why they need you at their school. You'll never know for sure if you don't give it a shot.

Good luck! I hope you get into somewhere of your choice.

Try a medical school in India. Many of their graduates come over here and do very well and earn over £100,000 per year. The NHS does not care whether you did well or not at the medical school as long as you have a degree and say you are an indian doctor. They'll grab you before you can say 'Bollywood'.
