Cough medicine?

I have a terrible cough. No matter how much or how hard I cough it's still not very productive. I have been taking cough medicine day and night because during the day I need to be able to work and can't get much done when I'm constantly coughing. At night I can't sleep if I don't take it.

I know I need to get whatever this junk is out of my lungs but how can I do that and still be able to work and sleep?
Guess I should also mention that I've been taking Bronkaid in addition to the cough medicine to help releive the tightness in my chest. Bronkaid has an expectorant in it.

you should see a doctor. If your not coughing anything and theres fluid in your lungs it can develop into pneumonia because the fluid can cause infection in your lungs.
