Anyone familiar with the "Medicine Wheel" beliefs of the Native Americans?

I'm reading a text book for on of my classes, and I just read about 8 pages on the "medicine wheel" so insightful, I want to bring it into my lifestyle. And books or gain more information? Does anyone follow this, how does it work in your life?
