I gave my 3 mo. old kitten a tiny, tiny bit of baby medicine out of a

dropper this morning, will it die?
I did not know that it would harm her at the time I gave it to her. I looked it up when I got to work and freaked me out I just called the vet and he said that all is fine.
Hey Emily, kinda rude there aren't ya, never made a mistake have you. I would not of intentionally harmed my cat. I was worried and looking for some support.

It depends on what kind of medicine you gave the kitten. Tylenol, for instance is toxic to cats.

Pet medicine is just people medicine in smaller doses. If the vet says it is going to be all right then trust him. Just try not to do it again with out asking if it is going to harm the baby. I know some people can be judgmental but please don't let them bully you. The only dumb question is the one that is not asked ,Okay?

We have all done things like this before. I guess you were thinking "baby medicine". I gave my cat something that made her foam at the mouth. Scared my son who happened to be watching Kujo at the time. Had to call the vet who said everything was OK.

Aspirin is not fatal to cats, by the way. The vet gave it to one of my cats. Tylenol is bad, however.

Why would you give your cat something that might harm it , then question whether it will die after you have already done it??
Call a vet!

What kind of medicine and why? You'd be best calling up the vet and asking them. Some meds like Tylenol/acetaminophen are toxic to animals. Bad idea giving meds to animals if you don't know what it can do to them.

Why in the world would you give your kitten medicine like that! If the cat was sick you should be taking it to the vet. Call the vet asap!

what was the matter with the kitten to give it baby medecine ? If he/she starts to act oddly , not eating or looking ill , take him/her straight to the vets.
Other than that you should be ok , good luck !! x

What kind of baby medicine? Some human medicines are toxic to cats and some are useful to them. Depending upon which medicine you administered to your kitty the answer could be a yes or a no.

get it to the vet. neither you nor I are qualified to randomly administer drugs to animals, and you are dealing with a pretty fragile being. go now.
