18 year old dtr 3 to 4 months pregnant...took OTC medicine before she knew?

Any one know the side effects of taking nyquil, dayquil and gravol on a fetus. My dtr was in denial she was pregnant and took these medications over the last few months. Now she admits she is pregnant and is afraid what these meds have had on the baby.

there's always a possibility that it will only a doctor can be sure though I'd get her to one soon..

gravol you can take TEMPORARILY.. for morning sickness to stop dehydration ive done it the doctor said it was ok..

nyquil and dayquil i also took while pregnant i had a cold and didnt know i was pregnant.. but im pretty sure she didnt take enough to harm the fetus..

no more medication unless its tylenol ok

the doctor says everything seems fine.. and no long term effects..

NyQuil is not recommended, but gravol is used all the time, to prevent nausea and vomiting.

I'm sure it's fine, as long as she wasn't drinking the stuff.

Women have done worse things while pregnant because they hadn't found out yet, and the babies are perfectly healthy. Think about how many women went out for a night on the town drinking before they knew they were pregnant for example.

I doubt there is anything to worry about. Tell her to make sure she knows what she can and cannot take from here on out, she should ask her doc.
