| world war one medicine/hospitals? what happened in the hospitals during world war one. and also, what was the medicine usage like..was it really a bad as everyone says it was? what was the procedures for injuries and surguries? ....was morphine the only painless way out for the injured? i really need these answered asap and links to other sites would be greatly appreciated :]]      |

| I've not studied WWI, but I do remember that during many other wars (civil war, ect.), since penicillin was neither discovered yet, or wasn't available, raw honey was used for all kinds of war wounds. Raw honey has natural antibiotics in it (put in from the honeybees) so the honey wouldn't rot in the hives.
