**Can I take day medicine at night?**?

I have a bad cold and sinus thing going on and cant get into the doctor so I bought a box of cold med that has pills for day and night. I feel really crappy right now (it's 9:15 pm) and i want to take some but i still have alot of stuff I need to do tonight. Can I take the day pill now and still be able to go to sleep in a couple of hours??
