if a medicine works for something and its the only one that has in 13 years why not

use it? doctors are always giving me a hard time about using ativan. there is a certain dose that actually gives me days with no headaches at all and i feel semi normal, but the VA refuses to give it even though the pharmacy allows that particular doseage to be given out for less traumatic injuries. now i have reacted to so many meds in the last 13 years im scared to use anything new anymore, but every doctor constantly wants to use me as a guinea pig and im sick of it! i have had my last reaction to a medication and especially when i tell someone im allergic to it, its in my records and he makes me take it anyway ...is that not what u would consider malpractice? but, noone will sue the Va or investigate this neurologist in pittsburgh at all about it! he even laughed at me and said i was ignorant and called me names! now is that professional? it says right on the wall "let us help u manage ur pain, noone knows ur pain like you do" RIGHTTTTTTTT! NOT HIS PHILOSOPHY!
if theres a doctor that does feel that way becca send em my way cuz in 13 years not one at the va has done that. and as for lawyers, ive tried send me one if u know one.

i suggest you look for a lawyer plenty would handle this case, dont knock it till you try it.

the military never likes to give drugs to people that could be habit forming...i had a surgery and they sent me home with no painkillers... i didn't want to ask for them b/c i felt like if i did i'd seem like an adict or something, and if they didnt give me them they must have thought i didnt need them.
i went threw two days of hell calling every doctor and hospial professional and finally filed a formal complaint.. but in the end, my pain went away before it was resolved.

adivan is sometimes seen to be addictive or abused, so that could be why they dont want to use it.
the next time you go in, ask for it, tell them it works and you're sick of getting things that dont work b/c that doesnt help you. there is no reason for you to be in pain (you take it for headaches, i've taken it for anxiety i didn tknow it was used for headaches)... if they dont prescirbe it, ask for a referral, THEY HAVE TO GIVE YOU A REFERALL for a second opinion. they may just give you the script instead of sending you off to someone else...

my mom is a doc at the va and trust me they can do for you want you need done.

she always tells me "there is no reason for you to be in pain" so if she says it, as a doc, and a mom, it must be true so they should do something!
