For someone who wants to speicalize in internal medicine, what schooling would

they have to go through? Basically, if someone wants to become a medical doctor specializing in internal medicine, what do they need to do once they're done in high school? I'm talking about every bit of schooling needed. Thanks.

Marianne N has a spectacular aura about
4 years of undergraduatue study, 4 years of medical school, then 3 years of internship/residency. More years if specialize in a specific area of internal medicine like cardiology or nephrology but that's about the size of it.

Miss America has a spectacular aura about
Of course you would need good grades in high school including a high class rank and AP classes in science and math. Try to research which colleges you are interested in that have the highest percentages of admission into medical school. Essentially 4 yrs college, 4 yrs medical schools and a 3-4 yr residency program depending on if you specialize in something more specific.
