| Do you mean preventative medicine? If so it could mean that his motivation is in preventing disease rather than treating it. A noble thought, but in order to prevent most serious disease one has to lead a perfect life, and the majority find this impossible. Here in the UK general practitioners are given extra cash for promoting health issues, eg stop smoking clinics, dietary advice, alcohol issues, regular cervical screening, immunisation projects etc. In this instance the motivation could be cash. |
